Requirements:
Agents are required to complete 24 total hours every 2 years. The renewal date occurs every 2 years on the last day of your license issuance month.
21 of your total hours must be approved for the lines of insurance you're licensed to see. The remaining 3 hours must be ethics.
It is better to finish the continue course 60 days before the expiration date to avoid late file penalty.

2. File a Renewal Application
Once you have completed your courses and satisfied the renewal requirements for your license, you will need to file a renewal application. The online application will guide you through the renewal process. Upon successful renewal, your licensing record will be updated on the California Department of Insurance's website, and your renewed license can be immediately obtained using the state’s Print or Download Your License service.
